French Ornate Stamp Holder in Brass or Bronze

A charming French metal stamp holder with an ornate hinged lid and three individual compartments.

Originally designed as a gentleman’s desk accessory for organizing postage stamps, this decorative little box is richly detailed with scrolling foliage, floral motifs and classical ornamentation. The hinged lid opens to reveal three fitted compartments, each originally intended to hold a different denomination of stamp.

Today, it makes a beautiful decorative object for a writing desk, library or home office and can also be repurposed as a small trinket box for rings, earrings, cufflinks or other tiny keepsakes.

Available in two finishes:

BRASS
A warm golden brass tone with a lighter aged patina.

BRONZE
A darker bronze finish with a deeper, richer patina.

Each has developed its own character with age, so slight variation in tone and surface is expected.

Condition: Very good condition with age appropriate patina, surface wear and variation in finish.
