About

A home is gathered piece by piece, over time.

La Maison Brocante began not as a business, but as a quiet instinct—one that had been forming over years, long before it had a name.

In her early twenties, Angelica was drawn to the world of interiors and architecture, studying both before ultimately choosing a more practical path—one shaped by independence and the need to build a career quickly. Though her professional life unfolded elsewhere, her work placed her in close proximity to extraordinary objects, including a significant private art collection, where she became deeply attuned to the care, movement, and documentation of pieces with both cultural and material value. It was here that her understanding sharpened: that objects are not simply decorative—they carry history, provenance, and presence.

That understanding quietly followed her into every home she created. Each space became a reflection of her belief that beauty should be lived with—that the most meaningful objects are the ones used daily, not preserved at a distance. This philosophy was shaped, in part, by her childhood, where certain pieces were admired but never touched. She imagined something different for her own home—something warmer, more accessible, and deeply personal.

Her connection to France began nearly two decades ago, through a close friendship that opened the door to French culture and way of life. Over time, that connection deepened—through travel, language, and a growing familiarity with the rhythms of French markets and everyday objects. In 2018, she met her husband, whose English heritage brought a second influence into her world. Together, these two sensibilities—French and English—now live side by side in both her home and her work.

Today, Angelica is a mother of three, and her children continue to shape the way she lives with and selects each piece—always with the intention that it be used, handled, and woven into daily life.

La Maison Brocante is a reflection of this journey. Each object is hand-sourced in France and England, chosen not for perfection, but for the quiet beauty it brings to a home. Pieces that were made to be used, built to last, and shaped by time.

The collection is offered both online and through a small, by-appointment sunroom shop in Connecticut—an intimate space designed to experience the pieces as they are meant to be: in a home, and in use.

Because the most meaningful objects are not the ones we keep untouched,
but the ones we live with, every day.
