Grand French linen Torchons
A pair of beautiful large antique French torchons in soft, timeworn linen, each finished with a delicate hand-stitched ‘LC’ monogram. Unlike the classic striped torchons, these pieces feature a more understated look — simple white linen with generous proportions, typical of the larger kitchen cloths once used in French homes. These oversized linens were traditionally used for drying dishes, covering rising dough, lining bread baskets, or draped over the shoulder while cooking. Freshly washed and sun-dried, the linen is soft yet substantial — the kind of everyday textile that has quietly served generations in the French kitchen. A timeless and practical piece of French domestic history.
