A beautiful large French faience pitcher in the “Roxane” pattern, produced for the Paris department store Nouvelles Galeries in the early 20th century. Originally part of a traditional French toiletry set, pitchers like this were used for washing before indoor plumbing became common. Today they are beloved decorative pieces, perfect for displaying flowers, holding kitchen utensils, or styling on a counter or open shelf. The elegant blue transferware motif and generous size make this a striking example of classic French household ceramics. Stamped “Nouvelles Galeries – Paris – Roxane” on the underside.
