Antique French Linen Apron

A charming antique French kitchen apron made from beautifully thick, substantial linen, hand-embroidered with the initials V.G. in red thread. Measuring approximately 36 inches in length (not including the top bib), this is a generous full working apron typical of those used in traditional French country kitchens. The linen has been gently restored and soaked several times to lift years of agerelated soil, revealing a soft natural patina and lovely texture that only old linen develops over time. The fabric remains strong, weighty, and beautifully preserved.
